EXTRA! EXTRA!

Introducing a whole new kind of card class!! In the spirit of "My Way," our theme at Leadership this year, I would like to announce a brand new class I'll be having.  I think you're really going to like it.

The class is called a Card Buffet. Not unlike a food buffet, you will have many choices of card projects and you will get to pick and choose to do any of the cards offered. And, make as many as you like!  You have 7 nephews with birthdays this month and a wedding to go to next week?  Make 7 birthday cards and a wedding card! You want lots of thank you cards on hand because you're having surgery next week and lots of great friends coming over to help? (I've been there!lol) Come on over and stock up on thank you's!

It really is a "My Way," or YOUR way, kind of class.  Each month you will have a choice of 16 cards.  And each month 8 of those cards will retire, so to speak, and you'll get 8 new ones for the new month.  The class cost is $15 for your first 8 cards and you can add as many additional cards as you like for only $2 each.

This pretty card will be retiring in February!  Hurry and reserve your spot today! Space is limited!

During Sale-A-Bration, I will be offering a special.  When you order $50, not only do you get FREE Sale-A-Bration products, you will also get the Card Buffet class for FREE!  Sale-A-Bration only lasts for February and March, but you can take advantage of this special as many times as you like.  Click HERE to RSVP for the class time of your choice!

Until tomorrow...

Sale-A-Bration Notebook

Oh, what a great time I had in the Rubber Room today.  I made myself this cute note pad with some of my FREE Sale-A-Bration products.
So, here's what you need to get started:

1. Using Tombo adhesive, attach the back cover and use brayer to smooth.
2. Next, line up your front cover and make a crease at the top to make the finished notebook easier to open.
3. Using Sticky Strip in all the places shown, attach the front cover.  I used sticky strip because I wanted to make sure it was really durable.  Don't want it coming apart when I'm trying to look cute while I'm taking notes at our next Stamptherapists meeting! Ha!
4.  Line up your cover, remove the Sticky Strip liner and SLOWLY wrap your paper around the top of the notebook.
5. That's it! Now you can embellish to your heart's desire.  I added a belly band with a flower from the Mixed Bunch stamp set and my name using the Broadsheet Alphabet stamp set.

Thanks, Tammy for helping out as my photographer for the day!  I'd love to see what everyone comes up with.  Send me your pics!

Until tomorrow...

My faves!

I finally got a chance to sort all my swaps and really look at them all.  And all I can say is WOW!! There are some really talented demonstrators out there.  I am so lucky to have spent last week with them learning from them.  Here are some of my favorites:

There were a lot of Valentines passed around last week. In fact 2 of my swaps were Valentines. This one from Maureen Rauchfuss is by far my favorite.  I love the non traditional colors and the simplicity of the design.  I'm sure I'll be casing this one soon!

This thank you card uses the new Tea Shoppe stamp set from the Occasions Mini.  I so wish the demonstrator had put his/her name on the back so that I could give credit.  I love that emboss resist technique.  It is really very simple to do.  I don't do it often enough.

This is a great card from Sandy Bate in Idaho.  She used some of her FREE SaleABration products. What a great use of scraps, too! The Outlined Occasions stamp set is so versatile, you can easily make this any kind of card you need.  And I can't say enough about this gorgeous Everyday Elegance Designer Series Paper! I love, love, LOVE it!

I can not get over this card from Tina Moore.  Isn't it beautiful?!?!  My style is usually very clean and simple.  This textured, layered style is very hard for me to create.  So naturally, I get very excited about swaps like this to show all of you. It is just amazing!  She used the Kindness Matters stamp set which is in the regular Idea Book and Catalog as well as the SaleABration catalog.  She used that great Hello Doily background stamp; and I think my favorite part is how she made the look of a ruffle with the Stripes Emboss Folder.  Genius!

Sharon Denison's swap is full of great ideas.  She used the Everyday Elegance Designer Series Paper I adore, the new Blossom punch from the Occasions Mini catalog, and the Full of Life stamp set.  It's hard to see in the picture but she even added a little shimmer to the flower with a little Smooch Spritz. Although this card has a simple, uncluttered layout, it is elegant and feminine.

Again, I find myself loving a card with out contact information.  I had not ordered the Sweet Cake stamp set, but every sample I saw last week I loved.  I think I'll have to add it to my short list of things I can't live without.  It is just so cute! This card also shows off the Sweet Shop Specialty Designer Series Paper.  (Another must have for me!) The ribbons and brads can both be found in our Idea Book and Catalog.

I wish I could post all of my favorites from this year's Leadership swap.  I had so much fun looking through them yesterday.  If you'd like to see them all come on over to the Rubber Room sometime and see my display.  Tomorrow I will be posting a finished class schedule for the next few months.  I look forward to seeing everyone there!

Until tomorrow...

Dawn made me do it!

One of my favorite classes at Leadership this year was actually a Share Fair class.  Dawn Griffith did a class on online businesses.  I loved that she gave us lots of VERBS so I left knowing exactly what I need to do next.  Her best piece of advice was to blog everyday for 30 days.  And that it is important to share Stampin' Up! regularly and consistantly.  She was great!

So, thanks, Dawn! Today is only day 2, but even that is a great improvement for me. LOL

I invite your comments as to what you would like to see on here.  Samples and ideas? Videos and techniques? Let me know and I'll do my best to get it all in.

Until tomorrow...

Leadership Conference 2012!

Leadership Conference in San Antonio was so much fun! It's hard to say what my favorite part was.  The swaps were beautiful, the classes were informative, and the dinners with my upline and sidelines were all great!  I am glad that we're home, though.  I am exhausted.  I'll be sure to post more in the next few days but here are a few pics from our trip...

I brought back almost 200 card samples from top demonstrators from all over the country and Canada!

This is our combined haul of freebies, gifts, and prizes.  Taking your supporting demonstrator to Leadership with you has benefits!!

My sweet friends brought me gifts even though I wasn't roommates with them this time.  I really do have the best friends. :-)
